The Vallas Group served as lead consultant to the Government of Haiti (GOH) on the development of its plan to rebuild schools after the 2010 earthquake.
Engaged by the government of Chile to advise on its post-earthquake school rebuilding strategies and developed a series of comprehensive curriculum and instructional reforms that improved student academic performance in more than 1,100 of the country’s lowest-achieving schools.

Department of Justice
In 2016 the Vallas Group served as project manager to on the Obama administration’s initiative to reform adult education in the federal prisons. As directed by then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, our team of experts performed a comprehensive assessment and created an implementation plan to reform Bureau of Prison’s (BOP) Education Program, included special education, adult literacy, vocational and occupational training and post-secondary education.

In partnership with the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), the Vallas Group assisted the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), with developing its plan to restructure the BIE and transform it into a “School Improvement Organization.”

Collectively, Vallas Group members have overseen the development and management of more than $10 billion in capital construction projects in multiple states. This includes the construction of city streets and alleys, affordable housing, public safety facilities and schools. In schools alone, Vallas Group members have been responsible for more than $7 billion in construction, which resulted in the construction of more than 150 new school building and the renovation of more than 500.
The Vallas Group has unmatched experience in disaster relief and rebuilding. Our members were responsible for the rebuilding of schools in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, which included securing a historic $1.9 Billion FEMA settlement. We have also participated in post-disaster relief and rebuilding efforts following natural disasters in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and abroad in Haiti, Chile and Mexico.
